Jack Shaughnessy Sr. is a leading Catholic businessman (Shaughnessy & Ahern, Co.) and “cheerful giver” (philanthropist). He was raised in Quincy, attended Boston College High School and Tufts University, and then served in the Navy. Jack and his wife Mary were married for 52 years. They are blessed with 7 children and 17 grandchildren. Mary passed to the Lord on March 19, 2008.
At the 2008 Boston Catholic Men's Conference, Jack shared his powerful story of how God helped him through difficult days as a Catholic business owner. This story has inspired many in one-on-one conversations with Jack over the years and we're privileged that he shared it with all the thousands of men at the Conference, and through the power of video recording and now this internet page, with the world!
Jack's keynote address was entitled Put Out Into the Deep: Ultimate Trust & Faith in God. Please watch the address below. Below that is a general slideshow of the Conference, which took place at Boston College's Conte Forum on April 19, 2008.
